24/7 AI Virtual Receptionist

A full front desk that never sleeps.

An AI virtual receptionist is software that answers your business phone, web chat, and text messages around the clock. It qualifies each caller, answers questions about your services and pricing, books appointments on your calendar, and routes emergencies to your cell — covering the work of a full-time front desk at a fraction of the cost.

Voice + chat + booking + follow-up — one AI system handling every channel, every hour. The job your receptionist does, on autopilot, 24/7.

Replaces (or supplements) a $40K/yr front desk hire.

The problem

What does a full-time receptionist cost a service business?

A full-time front desk employee costs a service business roughly $35,000-$48,000 a year, and covers about 40 hours a week. The other 128 hours, your leads call, message, and book your competition.

Common questions

24/7 AI receptionist questions, answered.

How is a virtual receptionist different from an answering service?

Answering services take messages. Our AI books appointments, answers detailed questions about your business, sends confirmations, and routes emergencies — all 24/7 with no hold times.

Do I need to be running ads?

No. This is for any service business that gets phone calls — referrals, Google Maps, repeat customers, ads, anything.

What if the AI can't answer a question?

It takes a detailed message and pings you instantly. Urgent matters get routed straight to your cell.

How much does it cost?

Custom pricing based on your call volume. No contracts. Book a free strategy call for a quote.

What an AI virtual receptionist can’t do

Worth saying plainly, because the failure mode is predictable and most vendors won’t name it.

It handles unusual calls worse than a good human. Routine scheduling, quoting and qualifying it does well — instantly, and on every line at once. An upset customer describing an insurance loss, a medical intake, a legal matter: a person is better, and it isn’t close.

A badly configured agent is worse than a missed call. If it doesn’t know your service area, your pricing bands, or that you don’t work on mobile homes, it will confidently invent an answer. That’s the horror story people share, and it’s a setup problem rather than an AI problem. The fix is a hard rule in the configuration: say “I don’t know, let me have someone call you” instead of guessing.

It captures demand — it does not create it. If your phone rings a fixed number of times a month, answering more of those calls has a ceiling. This is the wrong purchase if what you actually have is a lead-generation problem.

Some callers can tell. Voice quality is no longer the giveaway; most people don’t notice, and the ones who do mostly don’t mind once they get an answer. But a minority dislike it on principle, which is why every setup should be able to hand off to a human on request.

Virtual receptionist, answering service, or voicemail?

Three different things that get used interchangeably. The difference is what actually happens on the call.
